Now this is eternal life; that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
–John 17:3
How can I know God?
If you have come perusing our site out of curiosity or out of mindfully seeking a place to worship, we bid you welcome!
At some point in your life you will encounter two questions:
What is the meaning of my life?
How can I know God?
Most often times, we assume that the two questions are separate but in fact, they are, one and the same question. Whether we are asking the first question or the second question, ultimately, this is what we are really asking –
Is there any hope beyond this present life?
The verse at the top of this page answers – yes, there is! It is to know God and in the Incarnate God, Jesus Christ! But not in a sense of knowing someone or something that contains superficial factual knowledge that is both distant and impersonal. Rather a knowledge of God that is deeply personal and intimate and eternal. A knowledge of God that dispenses with the superficial and gets down to the essence and nature of both God and yourself.
Now you may say to yourself, what makes us any different from any other religious group that seeks to answer what we want to answer?
Simply – Jesus Christ.
At this point, you may quit reading and you may not want to know any more. I totally understand. His name has been cited and recited for countless ages – both men of goodwill and men of ill-will have used His name to advance their own personal cause for vain-glory. You are put-off.
But you are not put-off by His Name, necessarily. You are put-off by the actions and intentions of other people who have misused His name. Regardless of the actions and intentions of human beings, there is no other name by which we are saved.
Saved, from what? Saved from the breakdown of our world and from ourselves, which is called SIN. Saved FROM SIN and saved TOWARD a Savior of SIN -- the Incarnate God, Jesus Christ. Indeed, Jesus calls everyone to Himself in order that we may fully understand THIS knowledge of God – the knowledge of God and the knowledge of us that what we really need to fulfill our purpose and endeavor for eternal life is a Savior.
Whether you come with us and join with us in this exciting journey of both discovery – in the knowledge of God – and in re-discovery – of ourselves, in context of this knowable God – or not, we sincerely hope that you will come to a point in your life that THIS Savior, Jesus Christ, is the one in whom you are truly seeking.
